Although the Vodafone situation isn’t ideal, as you all know I proclaimed this to the world far and near.

We need to look on the bright side… this phone isn’t going anywhere.

Everyone remember the iPod, over a grand and very little space. No one would buy it, then the prices came lower and lower over the years, more models became available for every price range and all of a sudden every 2nd person in NZ has a iPod

I think the prices will drop on vdfn as data becomes more affordable. and i think the $1 a day plan will help make this possible.

We are not in at the same stage of the game as the US are. and the sooner we come to accept this the better.

But I must say. I contradict myself, I am going to suck up my pride and empty my wallet as i buy the iPhone on friday…

I am thinking tomorrow is the day we finally get to hear from Vodafone with pricing and plans… Total Speculation but it is also logical… One week before to build the hype??? Makes sense to me.

I’m trying to organise a group to meet up for the midnight iPhone release in Dunedin… If they have one that is :s

Geekzone, a New Zealand geek site have been speculating Vodafone’s new iPhone price plans. Even though there is no word yet take a look at what a vodafone rep has to say…

The
new casual GPRS plans are a sign of things to come. Vodafone is making
alot of changes, and with sensitive subjects, they live by the motto
“loose lips sink ships” and therefore dont let there retail staff know
every juicy detail (as im one of them)

On a personal note,
please dont get upset when we cant tell you the exact price or
availability details in store.. we honestly dont know!

Oooh If this is meaning a “Dollar a Day” iPhone Plan it could make many people (including me) very happy.
Also I totally relate to the I WANT IT NOW!

Word has broken from unnamed sources that we will be hearing from Vodafone NZ regarding pricing and plans during the beginning of July. Let’s hope for Tuesday.

As for the price. I’m going into overdraft for this little puppy so I am prepared to pay anything (within reason)
